The collection include typescripts of four of Crockett's novels ( Capitan, Popcorn on the Ginza: An Informal Portrait of Postwar Japan, Teru: A Tale of Yokohama, and Kings Without Castles), as well as partial manuscript for "Bus Station Blues," dated September 1972. In addition, the collection contains personal notes and lists, newspapers clippings saved by Crockett, and correspondence to and from Crockett. Most of the correspondence is in English, with the exception of two letters from Durango, Mexico.
Additional materials were acquired in 2015, but have not yet been processed. These include the 4 volume manuscript of "The Devil's Chasers," an unpublished book; photographs; a poster from the film The Proud and the Profane (based on Crockett's The Magnificent Bastards); biographical clippings and information; and illustrations and sketches by Crockett and used in her books.
